I kissed a frog and I liked it!
Introducing Kambo-frog medicine: a brief, mind-shaking, unpleasant yet cathartic physical experience.
One day during the Covid-19 outbreak, an old friend of mine suggested I become acquainted with Kambo frog medicine. At first, it sounded surreal, as this frog is one of the most toxic animals known to humans. However, the indigenous tribes along the Amazon River have been using the poison produced by the frog for hunting, and more interestingly, to immunize physical infections and emotional conditions. A natural vaccine, this mysterious medicine knows how to search through the body and distribute itself wherever needed in just the right quantity, to strengthen the immune system and help the body recover from numerous diseases.
In the 21st century, the white man, inventor of modern medicine and science, has been discovering the beauty and wisdom of ancient tribal medicine and exploring it in university labs. “If they can do it, so can I”, I thought to myself, and decided to give it a try.
After a short intake regarding my health condition and what I wished to achieve from the treatment, the healer created small superficial burns on my arm and then patted a tiny drop of frog goop on each one of them.
Within minutes, unpleasant heat waves began to spread through my body, and ten minutes later I just wanted to die. Even though I fasted 24 hours before treatment, I was constantly vomiting, and my entire body hurt. When the vomit waves stopped, I looked at the bucket beside me and realized I had thrown up massive amounts of greenish goop.
